landscapes in six pixels
for most of my life I have lived in or on the edges of the british countryside. its colours are ever changing yet somehow retain a subtle balance and harmony. this project draws inspiration from 20th century colour-field artists, in particular the paint colour chart works of gerhard richter. it consists of photographs that have been reduced to six pixels, both isolating and revealing the colours of the countryside and their harmonies.
